Is LED UV Harmful to Human Health?
LED UV has many functional advantages, but does it have any impact on human health during use, and what are the specific manifestations? Let's discuss this together. We will share knowledge in this area with you.
The LED UV we are referring to here is industrial LED UV curing lamps. Some industrial LED UV products are harmful to the human body, but this risk can be mitigated with proper protection. There are various wavelength bands of industrial LED UV。Approximately 250nm: Used for sterilization and disinfection.365nm, 375nm, 385nm, and 395nm: Used as LED UV curing lamps for curing photocurable resins.
Even the LED UV wavelength bands used for curing still pose certain harm. Generally, shorter wavelengths cause greater harm, while longer wavelengths result in less harm. Wavelengths exceeding 400nm fall into the visible light range that our eyes can perceive, and to date, no harm to the human body from such visible light has been observed. LED UV with a wavelength of 395nm is basically harmless to the human body.
In summary, LED UV can be harmful, but not all types are. Just like the bactericidal effect of ultraviolet rays, LED UV is beneficial when used properly, but can be harmful if misused.
